Scan to Email Changes Coming – Microsofts Retirment of Basic SMTP Authentication
Microsoft is phasing out Basic SMTP Authentication between March 1st and April 30th, 2026. After this, Scan to Email using older authentication methods will stop working.
Fleet MPS are pleased to announce that our modern devices support the new, secure OAuth2 authentication. Firmware updates are being released for devices that do not currently support it. This means your printers can be reconfigured to keep Scan to Email running smoothly.
The following documents provide the process for re-configuring your devices and solutions from Fleet MPS:
- Canon – OAuth2 Configuration (version 1)
- Epson – OAuth2 Configuration (version 1)
- Xerox – OAuth2 Configuration (version 2)
- PaperCut – OAuth2 Configuration
